I am Simeon Hellah, a Nigerian documentary filmmaker, cinematographer, and visual storyteller with nearly two decades of experience in film and media production.
My work spans Nigeria and other African countries, documenting human experiences, environmental challenges, public health, social development, and stories that deserve global attention.

Climate Change: Africa’s Cooked and Sinking Communities
This climate change documentary, produced by Corporate Accountability and Public Participation Africa (CAPPA), explores the impact of climate change on vulnerable communities in Nigeria, Cameroon and Kenya. Featured at COP28 in Dubai, the film brings attention to the realities of climate vulnerability and environmental injustice across Africa. I contributed to the production as cinematographer, drone operator and co-editor, helping bring these stories to the screen.

I met Simeon Hellah less than three years ago. He came into my organization at a very critical time of need. We needed a professional program and event planner with competent knowledge and understanding of the use of sophisticated photography equipment for an eventful environmental accountability and health audit project.
We wanted a human angle in our documentary and needed to capture the health, social, and economic significance of the residents of Taita Teveta (Kenya) and Kambele region of (Cameroon) to the gnashing impacts of climate change strong enough to detail evidence and provide sufficient justification for the clamor and demand for just and immediate operationalization of the Loss and Damage Fund, and Simeon provided just that. We leveraged Simeon's expertise, professionalism, and commitment to shared struggles in the interest of frontline communities.
